Feel free to ask some questions if you have them. MICH Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) is an NIJ 06' certified Level IIIA kevlar helmet. Originally designed as an improved version of the PASGT style military helmet, the MICH ACH has been engineered to improve the users' field of vision and to allow for a sharper hearing capability. This unique ballistic helmet possesses numerous built in features that combine to deliver high-quality ballistic protection. In addition, the unique design of this ballistic helmet, consisting of a reduced weight, removal of the front peak and a higher cut from side to back, allows for greater compatibility with gas masks, communications equipment and other vital devices. The Wilcox L3 G10 One Hole Bracket with Integrated Breakaway Interface, NVG Lanyard, Universal NVG Mount allows firm attachment to a MICH/ACH helmet drilled with the standard one-hole pattern.

This NVG Mounting System is unique in that it provides three modes of operation. The first mode allows the Mount to break away from the base under a stressed condition, such as when prompted by interference during fast roping, maritime operations, hard impact or when entering or exiting mobility platforms. Without the Wilcox breakaway feature, the potential for induced neck injury and NVG breakage are increased.

The second mode allows the Universal NVG Mount to securely lock the mount to the base. A third mode allows the Breakaway Base to pivot away from the Helmet Bracket by means of a locking bayonet interface when the NVG is not in use, further reducing weight and profile.

Breakaway Feature allows Mount to Break Away under Stress, or to Securely Lock in Place by Means of a Breakaway Switch. Locking Bayonet Interface Allows the L3 Series Breakaway Base to be fully Removed from the Bracket. Detachable Wilcox NVG Lanyard (see TDS078) Provides a Secure Attachment to an Array of NVG Devices Preventing Loss of the NVG and Breakaway of the Wilcox Universal NVG Mount from the Helmet Mount Base.
