A fine and impressive vintage double strand cultured pearl necklace with an antique 0.84 carat diamond and natural pearl, 14 carat yellow gold, platinum set clasp; part of our diverse pearl jewellery collection. This impressive vintage double strand pearl necklace displays a total of one hundred and forty cultured pearls, graduating in size and individually knotted. This fine pearl necklace secures to the reverse with a high quality antique 14 ct yellow gold cluster clasp featuring a natural pearl set in subtle relief to the centre of the platinum set pierced decorated frame encircled by twelve Old European cut diamonds.

The pearls are circa 1960, and the push fit clasp and diamonds circa 1900. Amalgamating antique and vintage elements to produce single item of jewellery was common practice in the mid 1900s. This pearl necklace is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. The antique clasp has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 ct gold and platinum.
